The MEP Department at PCG Consulting Group (PCG) is a core engineering division responsible for the design, integration, and performance of all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems within PCG projects.

The department ensures that buildings operate efficiently, safely, and sustainably by delivering high-performance building systems that support architectural intent and user comfort—positioning PCG as a leading multidisciplinary consultant in complex and high-value developments across Egypt, KSA, and international markets.

Core Functions

1. Mechanical Systems Design

• Design HVAC systems (cooling, ventilation, air distribution)
• Develop smoke management and pressurization systems
• Ensure thermal comfort and energy efficiency

2. Electrical Systems Design

• Design power distribution systems (LV/MV)
• Develop lighting systems (architectural and functional)
• Integrate backup systems (generators, UPS)
• Design low current systems (CCTV, fire alarm, data networks, BMS)

3. Plumbing & Firefighting Systems

• Design water supply and drainage systems
• Develop firefighting systems (sprinklers, hydrants, fire pumps)
• Ensure compliance with fire and safety codes

4. Technical Design & Documentation

• Prepare MEP layouts, schematics, and detailed drawings
• Develop IFC (Issued for Construction) packages
• Produce technical specifications and BOQs

5. Multidisciplinary Coordination

• Coordinate with Architecture, Structure, Interior Design, and Infrastructure teams
• Resolve clashes and ensure efficient system integration

6. Sustainability & Smart Systems

• Apply energy-efficient and sustainable design strategies
• Integrate smart building systems (BMS, automation)
• Support green building certifications and environmental standards

7. Construction Support & Supervision

• Review shop drawings and contractor submissions
• Respond to RFIs and site queries
• Conduct site inspections and ensure quality execution
