Design Description – Sports & Community Complex
Project Overview
The project represents a modern multi-functional sports and community complex, designed as an integrated campus that combines athletic facilities, social spaces, and supporting amenities within a cohesive landscape environment.
The design adopts a low-rise, horizontally spread layout, ensuring visual openness, ease of access, and strong connectivity between all components.
Planning Concept
The masterplan is organized around a central activity spine, acting as the main pedestrian circulation axis that connects all zones of the project.
The layout follows a zoning strategy based on function, separating activities while maintaining seamless interaction:
- Sports Zone: Includes football fields, tennis courts, and basketball courts
- Aquatic Zone: Features a large Olympic-scale swimming pool with surrounding seating
- Community & Service Zone: Comprises clubhouse buildings, administration, and support facilities
- Landscape Zone: Provides green buffers, shaded pathways, and recreational open spaces
This structure ensures efficient operation, safety, and user clarity.
Architectural Character
The architectural language is modern, minimal, and functional, characterized by:
- Clean geometric forms
- Simple massing with horizontal emphasis
- Neutral material palette
- Large openings to enhance natural light and visual connectivity
The buildings are designed as modular pavilions, distributed across the site to create a village-like environment rather than a single dominant mass.
Circulation & Accessibility
The project demonstrates a well-balanced circulation system:
Vehicular Movement:
- Perimeter road access on all sides
- Multiple entry points for flexibility
- Distributed parking areas close to each function
Pedestrian Movement:
- Internal walkways connecting all zones
- Safe separation from vehicular traffic
- Direct access to each facility
This ensures smooth movement, safety, and operational efficiency.
Landscape Strategy
The landscape plays a key role in defining the project experience:
- Green buffers separate the project from surrounding roads
- Trees and planting enhance environmental comfort
- Open spaces provide areas for relaxation and social interaction
- Pathways integrate natural and built elements
The landscape acts as a unifying layer, linking all functions together.
Sports Facilities Design
The complex includes a diverse range of sports facilities, designed to support both professional and recreational use:
- Football pitches
- Tennis courts (multiple courts organized in clusters)
- Basketball courts
- Olympic-size swimming pool
Each facility is positioned for:
- Easy access
- Functional independence
- Visual clarity
User Experience
The design focuses on delivering a holistic user experience by combining:
- Physical activity (sports facilities)
- Social interaction (open spaces and gathering areas)
- Comfort (landscape and accessibility)
The spatial arrangement encourages movement, exploration, and interaction across the site.
Design Identity
The project reflects a balanced identity between function and community, where:
- Architecture supports usability
- Landscape enhances experience
- Planning ensures efficiency
While the design is strong in organization and clarity, it maintains a calm and neutral character, allowing flexibility for future enhancements or branding elements.
Engineering Mandate
The CLUB CITY project represents a core pillar of PCG's engineering authority. Every technical framework has been rigorously audited to ensure compliance with sovereign development goals and international safety protocols.
