1. Medical Programming & Space Planning
- Develop detailed space programs for healthcare facilities
- Define departmental areas, room requirements, and adjacencies
- Optimize workflows for patients, staff, and services
2. Functional Planning & Zoning
- Plan hospital departments such as Emergency Department (ED), Outpatient Clinics (OPD), Operating Theaters (OT), Intensive Care Units (ICU), and Inpatient Wards
- Ensure efficient circulation and separation of flows (clean/dirty, public/private)
3. Operational Workflow Design
- Analyze patient journeys and clinical processes
- Improve operational efficiency and reduce waiting times
- Design layouts that support medical staff productivity
4. Design Integration & Coordination
- Coordinate with Architecture, MEP, Structure, and Interior Design teams
- Ensure all systems align with medical equipment and functional needs
5. Medical Equipment Planning
- Define medical equipment requirements and layouts
- Coordinate equipment with MEP systems (power, gases, HVAC)
- Prepare equipment schedules and technical specifications
6. Codes, Standards & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with international healthcare standards such as Saudi MOH Guidelines, FGI (Facility Guidelines Institute), HTM (UK Healthcare Standards), and NFPA requirements
- Support licensing and regulatory approvals
7. Future Flexibility & Expansion Planning
- Design adaptable healthcare facilities for future growth
- Integrate modular planning and scalable systems
- Support long-term operational sustainability
